Description

The DB1 – Positive Diode Board is a critical protection component designed for Spitronics systems where inductive loads—such as PWM solenoids or low-resistance valves—are used. Due to the dual functionality of Spitronics products (as both ECUs and TCUs), built-in diodes are not always included in custom or Level 1 harnesses. In such cases, this external diode board becomes essential.

The DB1 provides freewheeling diode protection to absorb voltage spikes generated by inductive components, preventing damage to the control system. Its compact design allows it to be embedded directly into a harness. For outdoor or exposed installations, it is recommended to seal the board with silicone and heat shrink tubing to protect it from moisture and debris.
