Description
The DB2 – Negative Diode Board is designed to protect Spitronics control systems from harmful voltage spikes generated by inductive components such as PWM solenoids and low-resistance valves. In setups where the ECU or TCU switches the load negatively (low-side drive), this negative diode board provides essential freewheeling diode protection.
Because Spitronics products are highly versatile and may function as either ECUs or TCUs, pre-installed diode protection is not always integrated into Level 1 or custom-built harnesses. The DB2 addresses this by offering a compact and easy-to-integrate diode solution for any system.
For applications where the board is installed outside the cabin, it’s recommended to seal the board with silicone before applying heat shrink to prevent water or dust ingress.
