Description

The X05 – Throttle by Wire Harness (TxW) is a Level 2 harness designed specifically for the Mercury3 ECU system. This harness was developed to simplify installation and reduce fault-finding by including all necessary TxW connections across all Mercury3 connectors, making it compatible with most throttle-by-wire combinations.

Key Features & Design Points:

• Universal Fitment: Not plug-and-play—requires the appropriate throttle and pedal connectors.

• Protective Finish: Comes with PVC sleeving and heat shrink for a clean, professional final installation.

• Integrated Relay System: Includes a mechanical relay wired according to TxW requirements, with an inline fuse for added protection.

• Shielded Inputs: All input wires are shielded and properly grounded through a dedicated small black wire, which must be connected to the TxW earth.
  Important: Never connect shields to the engine or vehicle chassis to avoid interference.

Wiring Overview:

Pedal TPS (Shielded):

• TPS Signal – Blue

• +5V – Red

• Earth – Black

Throttle (Shielded):

• Throttle Motor Positive – Red

• Throttle Motor Negative – Black

Other Wires:

• Ignition Power – Orange

• TPS Input Signal – Yellow

• RPM Input Signal – Green

• Water Temperature Sensor – Blue

• Battery Positive (BAT+) – 1x Red

• Earth for Screens and Sensors – Black

• Relay Set – 4 Wires

Note: All unused wires must be properly insulated to prevent short circuits or electrical interference.
